CREATING SIN
About 80% of the art and animation for DS starts with pencil and paper. It is scanned in the pc and inked, colored and animated in Flash. Adobe photoshop is used to edit & tweak the scanned images before importing them into Flash. The entire cartoon is done with vectors, no bitmaps. Some of the animation is done frame by frame, others use the Frankenstein method, and motion tweening.

FAQ
Q: What other cartoons has Jim done?
A: I did a couple a while back. none I feel are too great. In fact I think some of them sucked. The first was "All Your Frags Belong to Us, a spoof on the All Your Base fad mixing it with Half Life. It is now a part of the Newgrounds All Your Base collection.

The other Was Jimmy Episode #1. While I still think the animation came out decent, everything else turned out crap.

Think of DS as my redemption for giving birth to these tirds.

Q: Do you have a web site? Where can I see your art?
A: Revility.com was used as place to show my art. However, I toke it down after 3 years. I didn't feel it was worth keeping up anymore.

Q: Are you the guy who did X mod or made X content for a video game?
A: I did many custom weapons for the Half Life mod TFC. I went under the nick SyX. I then did some custom content for Neverwinter Nights under the nick Aramis SyX. Later on I joined some Doom 3 mods, including doing some weapons for Quake 2: The Lost Marine conversion. I have not done any modding or content sense.
Q: What is Revility.com suppose to be? All I see are some weird pictures.
A: It is for a series of Graphic Novels I have been working on. The first should be out in 2006 or 2007.
